Self Control 'Anti-bullying Week'

The Academy's theme of the fortnight, is ‘Self-control': Anti-bullying week (13th-17th November). This theme is line with the national campaign for anti-bullying, with this year’s focus of, ‘All different, all equal’, giving pupils the opportunity to celebrate differences and learn how to challenge bullying. This theme requires a strong focus as we drive to improve our commitment to eradicating bullying within the academy. All pupils will meet the expectations below within this fortnight:

  • Every pupil will know the definition of bullying, and the difference between this and one off incidents.
  • All pupils will know what to do if they are being bullied (or witness the bullying of others) and who to report this to.
  • All pupils will know what to do if a problem persists after they have reported it.

There is a plethora of activities that the academy is sharing with both staff and pupils with many directly from the Anti-bullying campaign itself.
