Primary Time Capsule

On Friday 21 April children at the Hundred of Hoo Academy were joined by local dignitaries to bury their time capsule in the floor of their new academy building.  Kelly Tolhurst MP, along with Councillor’s Potter and Freshwater were among those invited to the ceremony. Twelve children from Reception class and Year 1 took part, sharing stories about the contents of the capsule.  They also spent time with  “Ivor Clean Site”, special character guest, provided by the construction company WW Martin who was able to answer questions about their new school.

The new primary phase of the academy, which is funded by the Local Authority is expected to open in time for the start of the autumn term in September 2017.  The school will immediately house the new Reception Class children,  year 1 and those  moving  into year 2.
