In September 2011, the Hundred of Hoo converted to Academy status and became a member of the Williamson Trust. Just one year later Ofsted judged the Academy as 'Good with Outstanding features' recognising the relentless focus and ambition that we have.
We continue to ensure that the Hundred of Hoo is a beacon of excellence for the whole community with significant year on year rises in progress which is nationally recognised as being in the top 20% in the country.
In September 2015 the Academy opened its first Reception class thereby extending its age range to 4 year old children. This exciting provision again demonstrated the Academy’s sense of ambition to serve the community where pupils’ academic journey represents a cradle to university principle.
By September 2017, a new purpose built one-form entry Primary School incorporating Reception and Year one provision to the west of the Academy site will be ready for occupation.
